The Contracting with the Federal Government Certificate Program is offered through a unique partnership between George Mason University and Deltek, Inc.- a leading provider of software, solutions, and training to government contractors. This program is designed for government contracting professionals to proactively ensure that their business operations remain compliant with current federal standards.
This comprehensive program includes five two-day courses taught by instructors with strong backgrounds in government contracting. Course content is drawn from Deltek's experience in diverse government contracting environments, and is taught at George Mason University’s training center in Herndon, Virginia.
Content focuses on recent government contracting trends, including the current regulatory environment, as well as proposed changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the government’s Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). These highly participatory courses include extensive examples and resource materials. All courses qualify for 1.3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and 16 CPEs each and may also lead to a George Mason University Certificate of Completion. No advance preparation or prerequisites are required to attend. However, participants with limited contracting experience are encouraged to attend the Government Contracting Fundamentals course before attending any of the remaining four courses.
This unique learning opportunity is designed with many options. Courses are scheduled throughout the year and can be taken alone or completed as a series, within 18 months, to earn a George Mason University Certificate of Completion. In addition, through contractual arrangements, the program can be scheduled at your site, at your convenience.
