GIS 0335: Crime Mapping Case Studies

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course will examine GIS tools used to analyze crime series and the potential next hit
of an offender. Students will utilize various GIS concepts to analyze crime related
issues and problems. Students will also take long-term crime and disorder issues
and use GIS to analyze the problem and make recommendations about how to
address the issues. Students will analyze problems within certain communities using
GIS and will apply law enforcement philosophies to address each problem.
