TOPIC HIGHLIGHTS
This four day course is a hands-on tutorial that prepares participants to sit for the CAPM® Certification Examination. The instruction approach includes lecture, case studies and class exercises. Extensive use of case studies and in-class exercises provides for active student involvement in the practical use of course content. Prior to taking this course, participants are encouraged to either take the Essentials of Project Management course or acquire equivalent knowledge.
Each of the nine PMBOK® Guide areas of knowledge is addressed as a separate module. A brief presentation highlights the most significant aspects of each module. Next, participants individually answer a series of questions from our database. After each of these individual working sessions, the entire class reviews each question under the direction of our staff of PMP® certified instructors. In this manner, both the content and format of examination questions become familiar to each student. As a result of proceeding on a module-by-module basis, participants will be able to identify areas that require more individual study. The last session is a mini examination that simulates the CAPM® Certification Examination.
This course covers the nine knowledge areas identified in the PMBOK® Guide:
- Project Integration Management
- Project Scope Management
- Project Time Management
- Project Cost Management
- Project Quality Management
- Project Human Resource Management
- Project Communications Management
- Project Risk Management
- Project Procurement Management
